"Early Morning on Thornton Beach, Daintree"
In this work, I sought to capture the tranquil beauty and immersive serenity of Thornton Beach at dawn. The Daintree Rainforest, where the lush greenery meets the vast expanse of the ocean, holds a timeless energy—a place where nature speaks in soft hues and dappled light.
 
The interplay of colours and abstracted forms in this piece reflects the shifting light as the day awakens. The filtered morning sun, peeking through the foliage, casts a golden glow on the sand, while the cool blues of the sky and ocean invite the viewer into a moment of quiet reflection. My process involves using colours and shapes that evoke both the movement and stillness of the landscape, creating a peaceful vision of this untouched paradise.
 
Through this painting, I hope to transport the viewer to a space where the senses are heightened, and the mind is free to wander. The Daintree, one of the world’s oldest rainforests, carries a deep connection to the land, and I aim to honour that essence by inviting others to experience its magic through my work.
